The Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (England) Regulations 2015 which came into force on the 1st October 2015 require private rented sector landlords to install a minimum of one smoke alarm on every floor of a tenanted building, and a CO alarm in rooms where solid fuel is used. Wireless interlink systems can connect up to 50 units in a building, so when one is triggered they will all sound.
